1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Parquet Explorer ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

Parquet Explorer is a web-based tool that allows users to open, explore, and query Apache Parquet files using SQL directly in their browser. All data processing occurs client-side — your files are never uploaded to our servers.

3. Free and Pro Plans

The Service offers a free tier with limited features and a paid Pro plan ($9/month) with additional capabilities. Pro subscriptions are billed monthly through Paddle, our merchant of record.

4. User Accounts

To access Pro features, you must create an account using Google or GitHub authentication. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.

5. Payment and Billing

Pro subscriptions are processed by Paddle.com as our merchant of record. Paddle handles all payment processing, tax collection, and invoicing. By subscribing, you also agree to Paddle's Terms of Service.

6. Data Privacy

Your Parquet files are processed entirely in your browser using WebAssembly technology. We do not collect, store, or have access to your data files. See our Privacy Policy for details.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to misuse the Service, including but not limited to: attempting to circumvent access controls, reverse-engineering payment systems, or using the Service for illegal purposes.

8. Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any data loss, damages, or issues arising from the use of the Service. Since all processing happens in your browser, you are responsible for your data.

9. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
